Most Maldives resorts are reached from Velana International Airport by speedboat, seaplane or a domestic flight followed by a boat. The appropriate transfer depends on the resort’s location, and we coordinate it with your international arrival and departure times.
Speedboats are convenient for resorts near Malé and can usually operate after dark. Seaplanes offer spectacular views but fly during daylight hours, while domestic flights connect more distant atolls. We consider timing, convenience and cost when recommending the best option.

The Maldives’ wetter season generally runs from May to November. Rain often arrives in tropical showers rather than lasting all day, although conditions vary between months and atolls. This period can also bring lower rates, fewer visitors and excellent surfing and marine life.
The best house reef depends on what you want to see and how easily you would like to access it. Some resorts offer excellent snorkelling directly from the beach or villa, while others require a short boat trip. We recommend resorts using current reef conditions and your swimming experience.
The best location depends on the season and whether you want reefs, manta rays, whale sharks, channel diving or beginner-friendly snorkelling. Ari, Baa and several northern and southern atolls are particularly well known for marine encounters, but conditions change throughout the year.
