JOALI Maldives doesn't look like anything else in the Maldives. The villas set the tone immediately — soft pastel pinks and greens, rose gold hardware, green marble walls, thick pink-toned carpets — closer to a design magazine spread than a typical resort room, yet grounded by white marble and yesdark carved wood that keeps it feeling genuinely elevated rather than decorative. Beyond the accommodation, the island itself is the experience. An art and sculpture trail winds through the property, with every piece commissioned specifically for JOALI — not sourced, not borrowed, made for this place. A giant woven bird's nest chair hangs suspended over the water. One of the five restaurants is built inside a thatched manta ray sculpture, seating just eight guests. Two bedrooms under one roof, available in overwater and beach configurations. The beach versions are considerably larger, with the Family Beach Villa offering two separate pools — one facing the ocean, one set in the garden — across 940 sqm of total space.

The largest option on the island. The Three Bedroom Ocean Residence sits overwater with two infinity pools and a private spa suite for in-villa treatments. Yes. JOALI BEING is a separate, wellness-only island in Raa Atoll. Day trips between the two resorts can be arranged through your Jadugar, subject to availability on the day.
Every piece was commissioned specifically for JOALI Maldives — nothing borrowed, nothing sourced from elsewhere. An art and sculpture trail winds across the property: installations on the beaches, suspended pieces over the water, immersive works along the walkways. Even the arrival jetty is shaped like a manta ray. Guided art tours are available for guests who want to explore the collection in depth.
By seaplane from Velana International Airport, around 45 minutes. JOALI has a private lounge at the seaplane terminal where staff will meet you on arrival. Seaplane transfers run during daylight only — available for guests arriving between 6:00 am and 3:30 pm (Malé time). If your flight arrives later, we recommend an overnight in Malé and will arrange the earliest transfer the following morning.
Five restaurants plus a pool bar. Vandhoo covers Southeast Asian, Chinese and Indian cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Saoke is an overwater Japanese restaurant designed by architect Noriyoshi Muramatsu — sushi, sake and teppanyaki. Bellinis is Italian fine dining. TUH'U serves Levant cuisine alfresco under lit palms. Mura Bar is the all-day pool bar, with a whisky and cigar lounge inside.
